The departure from Hágale Pues Adventure continues with about ten minutes of transport. After receiving equipment, a safety briefing and practice, a 35-minute approach crosses the Sangay buffer zone. The descent follows 16 waterfalls of 5 to 55 meters with slides, downclimbs, rappels and walking in the river. There is a break for lunch midway through.

Cave where the wind is born

Travel to the Shuar community of Chuvitayo and descend into Mayei, the cave where the wind is born.

The cave where the wind is born, Mayei, is visited along the Baños–Puyo road. The journey takes about two hours through the Sangay–Llanganates corridor, past waterfalls, rivers and vegetation, to the Shuar community of Chuvitayo. There, the guide explains the equipment and safety procedures before descending into and exploring the cave. Enjoy lunch after the visit before returning to Baños.
